  • I had a Magnum rental for a few days and really really liked it.
  • you have one of the few cars out recently that i actually like! btw, doesn't dodge make some of the best paint colors on the market?!
    • I was happily surprised to discover that the black actually has a fleck or something in it to make it shine nicely in the sun. I loved my old Avenger's color as well. Dodge makes nice vehicles.
  • Easily to coolest wagon on styling alone but the 340hp doesn't hurt. Can I start a pool to bet on when you get your ticket? =)

Very nice heavy metal ride. Reminds me of my friends '78 Magnum. Congrats.

    • 340+ hp, 370+ foot pounds of torque, hauling space, 4000lb towing capacity (if i recall correctly). the magnum is the most versatile car on the market by far. even the lower model option with the 3.5l V6 is a great value and it gets about 27mpg highway and it stickers over $5K lower. btw this is directed to SiliconJesus, if you live in an area with snow: sometime later this coming winter put out a report on how your rwd wagon handles in varying snow conditions.

It really is. These days if you want to tow something it's either a typically tall SUV or truck. Trucks are great but (for me) not for everyday use. The Magnum on the other hand seems comfortable for both. Rare these days.

Sorry, that would be this [google.com].
  • The guy that owns the race car I drive rented one when he was last in the USA and said he liked it. Admittedly, the styling's not great (nor is the new Charger, for that matter). But like you say, it's got a hemi! Which, ultimately, is all that matters :-)
    • Maybe its a difference of hemispheres, but I actually find the Magnum to be attractive. It has a real 'chopper' feel to it with smaller windows, factory tinted, and an agressive rake toward the back. The car definately gets looks when out and about.
  • My car may only have 134 HP and be relatively slow, but it'll still tow 3/4 ton.

On top of that, it's got about 70% of your torque on less than half the displacement.

Did I mention that it gets 40 MPG?

(After 9/11, I think that sacrificing economy for performance is profoundly unpatriotic: it enriches people who want to kill us for the most frivolous of feelings.)
