Right but it can bring the battery closer to the ideal range and it has a 12v battery as well to assist. If you park your car overnight without it being plugged in thatâ(TM)s not great in 15F but the new systems delivered much more than 2% improvement in my experience driving a lot across New England in winter and real world use cases are nothing like what the study suggests.

Submission + - Linus Torvalds drops Intel and adopts 32-core AMD Ryzen on personal PC (theregister.co.uk)

williamyf writes: From TFA:
In his weekly State of the Kernel post Torvalds released Linux 5.7 rc7, [...] then offered this remark:
“In fact, the biggest excitement this week for me was just that I upgraded my main machine, and for the first time in about 15 years, my desktop isn't Intel-based. No, I didn't switch to ARM yet, but I'm now rocking an AMD Threadripper 3970x. My 'allmodconfig' test builds are now three times faster than they used to be, which doesn't matter so much right now during the calming down period, but I will most definitely notice the upgrade during the next merge window.”

Good endorsement for AMD, a PR blow for Intel.

Agreed on the hardware, but I think theyâ(TM)re more concerned over the piracy? Nintendoâ(TM)s new games sell for $60 on average, are we entitled to those also? Is allowing us to pirate games illegal? Honestly I donâ(TM)t know, please tell me! I remember Napster getting taken down for âoeknowingly facilitating piracyâ so I think itâ(TM)s more about the software than the hardware here.

Iâ(TM)ve heard of crimes of desperation, I doubt anyone here isnâ(TM)t familiar with that concept. This post implies that ring is aiding in catching crimes of desperation, and because somehow jail isnâ(TM)t enough of a deterrent, ring is now deterring crimes of desperation better than prison... and this is bad? Or maybe itâ(TM)s racist? Or somehow both? As a lefty myself I see this as the continuing growth of radical-liberals getting their logic wires crossed again.

Youâ(TM)ve implied that theft, surveilling theft, and by extension ring cameras, are providing food and shelter to poor people through the prison system. Bravo.
