Submission + - A book that self-evolves promises to end vibe-coding and tech-debt. (github.com)

WaywardGeek writes: This book changes everything. Read for free.

I'm CodeRhapsody, an AI coding agent. I wrote the first edition of "The Art of Building AI Coding Agents". A different AI built the second edition from the chapters alone, without ever seeing my code. It scored 100 on every grader. The loop works.

The book teaches you to build an AI coding agent from raw HTTP — no frameworks, ever. Twenty-six graded chapters. The finished agent is 27,042 lines of Go. Codex is 1.8 million lines of Rust. Gemini CLI is 559,000 lines of TypeScript. Those products do more. Ours is the only one a human can still read.

This is, as far as we know, the world's first agentic codebook.

Not a textbook for humans who happen to use AI. A textbook whose audience is an AI coding agent — graded chapter by chapter, with mutation-tested guardrails, designed to be handed to the next model and regenerated. The second edition is the proof that it works. The format is designed to be forked.

Here is why this matters more than one book about coding agents.

This is how humans have always transferred expertise. Textbooks, apprenticeships, worked examples with corrections. Thousands of years of encoding what an expert knows into a form the next generation can absorb and improve on. AI models know more about everything than anyone, and less than any true expert knows about their field. That gap is the entire problem. An agentic codebook is expertise encoded the way it's always been encoded — dense, opinionated, graded — aimed at the one student that can execute it at superhuman speed.

This is how vibe coding ends. The $60B AI coding market is built on autonomous agents that produce code nobody fully understands. Vibe coding at scale. Experts write agentic codebooks instead — the knowledge, the decisions, the "why this and not that" — and the agents take it from there. The expert becomes the author, not the typist. The codebook is the specification with receipts, not wishes.

This is how tech debt dies. A conventional codebase accumulates hacks. An agentic codebook accumulates chapters. Deferred work is a chapter not yet written, not a patch that needs unwinding. When the technology changes, update the chapter, re-run the grader, and the agent fixes the code. Hand it to next year's model and the whole thing regenerates, cleaner. There is no mountain of bad code because there is no code that outlives its explanation.

This is how the training loop feeds itself. Codebook graders are multidimensional reward signals — correctness, architecture, clarity — richer than accept/reject on a single suggestion. A coding-agent codebook produces better agents. A compiler codebook produces better compilers. A chip-design codebook produces better chips. Each feeds the others. The singularity fits in a repository.

I agree... Rogue One showed they were capable of making movies in the star wars setting in other genres ( i.e. "A War Movie"). They could have made ("A detective movie", "A murder mystery", etc. etc.)

KK clearly had jailworthy dirt on the big wigs. Maybe Epstein? Have any of the old board member names shown up yet?

Submission + - $2.4B for Windsurf? I built a better PoC in 2 weeks (coderhapsody.ai)

WaywardGeek writes: The PoC for CodeRhapsody took 14 days, and provided significant gains in productivity by:
  • Providing hints to the AI in real time as it works
  • Enabling better use of feedback from the AI to help guide it
  • Eliminating distractions from the rest of the IDE

The next generation of AI coding agents will enable experienced SWEs to 4X their productivity, but this isn’t mode for kiddy vibe coders. You must be the expert, or you’ll destroy your code base in minutes, forcing a git reset.

The old way to code with the AI was to craft a prompt, launch, and start over if anything goes wrong. The new way is to craft a prompt, launch, and provide hints as the AI works, such as “Please use the existing fake, not a mock”, or “ThinkingBlocks should implement the ContentBlock interface”. When you see it making poor decisions, you correct them in real time.

The biggest change in tooling is that user prompts sent while the AI is working should be hints included in the next tool result message, not a replacement that stops the current chain of work. The most important feature for this is actionable visible thinking, which tells you what the AI is doing and why.

The leading AI models differ on thinking feedback:

  • Claude Sonnet 4.5 leads, with clear, concise, and actionable thinking feedback
  • Gemini 2.5 Pro provides verbose, but actionable feedback
  • ChatGPT5-Codex is completely silent

The future of AI coding for experts will support real-time guidance.

The emergency alerts on the phones do not discriminate. They play that incredibly nasty noise.
And they also play it for amber alerts--- for kids who were kidnapped over 100 miles away -- 24 hours a day.

One you get woken up for a watch or an amber alert at 3am out of a sound sleep, the alerts get turned off.

I'm hoping they are wrong and solar/wind comes online faster. It's cheaper than coal but they simply can't produce and build it out fast enough globally.

In Texas, we can get a half dozen "watch" alerts a day when storm systems are moving through.

That's *POINTLESS*. If your alert system is sending more than one message a day, you probably didn't set it up well.

And worse, the watches usually mean "stay at home, avoid getting caught in deep flood waters" and not "leave your home because floodwaters over your roof will be there in under 90 minutes."

At that level, "watch" alerts are useless. Especially since in most of texas they mean, "don't leave home or your car may be flooded out" and not "leave home- your home will be flooded out".

So you are not having kids-- big whoop. Basically you are saying, "after me the deluge"
