I bought unifi AP's before they forced their cheap routers down our throats. I'm unwilling to buy subscription devices. Next time I will probably just set up openwisp with compatible AP's. I had to switch away from radius wifi logins with unifi since they crippled it without one of their routers. All the unfi gear will have to scrapped since none of them will ever have openwrt support.

I have a firewall. One of the best out there in my opinion. With cisco switches and plenty of traffic separation. Vlans and tightly controlled access to all servers. The wifi vlans can only access a very limited amount of services. My inter office tunnels have a access acls in place and when you port scan my public IP's they look dead. The PCI compliance people make me click sign a disclaimer because they get nothing off of them. I think I'm doing okay.

I do what I can with the budget I have.

I only use the unifi AP. Everything else on my network is a bit more expensive than their gear.

I haven't played any rock star games in nearly six years. They are not the type of company I would rent a game from.

I haven't. I just remember people buying crude images of monkeys for huge sums. Those same types are all agog at AI and I don't think their cognition has improved. At the end of it all the block chain is only good for keeping records and that is about it. LLM's will be tools that we use but a AGI or MI as the old scifi books called it is unlikely since the intelligence will be constrained down to our crude level.
