schwit1 writes: As Silk Road emerged from the "dark-web", other sites have appeared offering services that are frowned upon by most. As Forbes reports, perhaps the most-disturbing is "The Assassination Market" run by a pseudnymous Kuwabatake Sanjuro. The site, remarkably, a crowdfunding service that lets anyone anonymously contribute bitcoins towards a bounty on the head of any government official–a kind of Kickstarter for political assassinations. As Forbes reports, NSA Director Alexander and President Obama have a BTC40 bounty (~$24,000) but the highest bounty — perhaps not entirely surprising — is BTC 124.14 (~$75,000) for none other than Ben Bernanke. Sanjuro's raison d'etre is chilling, "as a few politicians gets offed and they realize they’ve lost the war on privacy, the killings can stop and we can transition to a phase of peace, privacy and laissez-faire."

Comment What about Coding? (Score 1) 284

I've seen many comments about picking up a few new languages, and I have to agree, diversity is key to IT survival from what friends have told me. My query is, what if your love of IT isn't for code? I can read through a few key sections looking for a bug, but being told to code X application or part of an application isn't for me. I have a rough time remembering commands and sitting for hours on end, not my cup of tea. Is there any hope for the hardware side other then a Best Buy TechMonkey?

It's amazing the number of ideas that get stuffed into your head that end up being bricks when you look inside. Silly ideas such as locked fates, the morality of certain actions, and that life is a prison of sorts. A friend of mine once mentioned that he had come to a conclusion that there are only a few unique soul types in the entire multiverse, and that everyone in reality, past present future, was a derivitive of that.
