I left home with a dollar in my pocket this morning, and I still have it.
At lunch I did my banking for the month and grabbed a bit of walking-around money for the trip to Hawai‘i Monday. But it’s usually in the twentyish range if I’m not preparing to play tourist on a very expensive tropical island.
It went live in my office May 1st and in Charleston on June 1st. Most of my work lately has been creating and refining reports, bug fixing, UI, and the sync system. The sync system is ready to go live and has successfully moved data without me poking my fingers in the works, but I need to do some hand-cleaning of the data from the rollout period before I can safely and sanely turn it loose unattended. But that’s not why I have (or rather, had at mid-afternoon) $801 in my pocket. I have/had/will have us
It's payday though so I'm going to stick up the ATM for some cash before going home.
When I was a freshman in college, one day I withdrew some cash and got a receipt stating that I had $0.01 left in checking. I posted it on my door with a sign that said "please, give generously."
