Then don't use the same field every time. Encrypt the field names with salt and a time-based password. That'll deal with the blighters.... until they start doing entity counting or the like. Then you insert chaff... Well, there's the arms race for you.

This is one way to deal with it:

Effective immediately: AOL 220- may no longer accept connections from IP addresses which 220 have no reverse-DNS (PTR record) assigned.

It's about that time of the year again when we find out how much we owe Uncle Sam (Or as in my case, how much Uncle Sam owes me.) Software has changed drastically in the past 6 years since the previous query I found on Slashdot, as well as many tax rules. Does anyone here use tax software other than TurboTax and TaxCut? I know that there are also online forms I can fill out, but which ones are accessable to people that use OS's other than Windows and OSX? I'd preferably use a program that I can use off-line and store my information locally instead of using eforms, but if I have to resort to eforms, which ones should I investigate and which ones should I stay far away from?

It shouldn't require a physical invention, as the person who develops the idea may not have the funding to create it themself, but it should require a 'blueprint' that can be demonstrated to work when produced (source code would fall in this category).

And nothing that uses a different apparatus to achieve the same effect can constitute patent infringement.

That would be a sane patent system. I have NO idea how the one we have now works, except that the one we have now doesn't work.
