My experience with chiropractors: a close friend received an âadjustmentâ(TM), which the chiropractor decided was safe, after taking an x-ray of his back. The reality: my friend had crushed vertebrae, the result of bone loss from multiple myeloma, not diagnosed at that point. The crushed vertebrae probably happened before the adjustment, but the adjustment probably made it worse. I wouldnâ(TM)t recommend âadjustmentâ(TM), especially not if there is any pain. Get a real diagnosis and treatment.

A fundamental aspect of an âapocalypseâ(TM) is that once it happens, itâ(TM)s too late. Given that we have stewardship over Earthâ(TM)s ecosystems, upon which countless species depend, and which clearly have the momentum of global-scale systems [â¦Arctic/Antarctic ice mass decline, ocean thermal reservoirs, ocean acidification, rain forest losses, methane release from warming tundra, â¦], what exactly is the value in taking a gamble that it will âall work outâ(TM)? Greed, for sustaining a short-term benefit to a few ultra-rich? Laziness, for those with no concern for future generations? Dopamine-triggered rewards, for digital addicts too shortsighted to envision whatâ(TM)s happening beyond their next Tweet?
