Journal Journal: Germany has passed Peak Pirate

After their successes in 2012, getting seats in all state elections (with 7-9% of the votes), the German Pirate Party again dropped far below the "5% hurdle" in both the state elections in Bavaria and Hesse as well as the federal elecion of Germany. It looks like that even despite the NSA scandal, the Pirates lost a lot of votes to the newcomer Euro-skeptic "Alternative für Deutschland" - who got more than twice the votes of the Pirates, while still not gaining any seats.
