You know, I love seeing these things on the big screen, and I'll definitely see this in the next week or two, but I honestly get more excited for the extended DVD.
I didn't see the Fellowship until it hit the second-run theater, but I bought the extended DVD the day it came out. I saw TTT a couple of weeks after it hit theaters. It was awesome; totally glad I did it, but I bought the DVD the day it came out.
The theatrical release just feels like a particularly satisfying preview to me.
