What would I do if I found $5 on the sidewalk and didn't see someone drop it, so it's basically free money? I'd buy lunch with it, since I haven't been to the ATM this week.:-)
all abandoned stuff with no marks of ownership are availably for my posession. of course, things like lost wallets with id's are a different story. or if i saw who dropped the bill, i would be compelled to return it.
to my other spending cash and maybe treat myself and/or Kiddo to something -- a lunch out, a fun toy, or whatever else happens to strike my fancy. But chances are, it'd get saved up and used for something practical.
I'd refuse to believe my eyes, and leave it there, as it couldn't possibly have been lying there in the first place (because if it were, then someone would have picked it up).
OR
I'd pick it up, go and buy something for it, and only when the salesperson looked at me funny i'd realize that the money was only my imagination.
