Letters used to be delivered in parts of London multiple times a day. They're complaining about falling delivery standards, and the amount of money wasted. It's a stream of consciousness style of writing, but I could follow it. I often write like that when I'm really angry/tired/etc.

It's terrible that so many people were so selfish and thousands of lives were damaged or ruined as an outcome.

Smart Game Devs could design eternity patches as part of the original design (to avoid having to reverse-engineer old code years later) and update/implement it when the standard support ends. And of course games should be advertised as such.

Has there been any report on how/why they were found to be not contributing value? Because there are endless news stories of major update failures, likely stemming from funding increases in one bill, but reductions in another bill. So everyone agrees there's a major IT problem within the IRS, but no one has put in the effort/funding to fix them long-term.

Yeah, but there are so many people who only believe what they see themselves, it makes statistics useless. It's either a personality trait, or just that their school was too poor to do actual science experiments so the students mostly didn't learn how to understand the bigger scientific ideas themselves. I didn't believe in bacteria smaller than the eye could see until my Mum borrowed a microscope and I put creek water under a microscope. There are So many small things living in creek water!

It could have been two different creatures, but it's wild how much variety of stuff there was, it certainly explains us humans getting sick from untreated creek water :D

I'd say the biggest factor discouraging parents from being more involved in their kid's lives is time, too many people working long hours, commuting long hours, etc. Too many employers demanding on-site work rather than remote, because they made complicated land/office use deals that have nothing to do with their core business operations. If a person can complete 8 hours of in-office tasks in 3 hours at home, pay them for the work and let them do their own thing, like raising kids, or planting carrots.

I suspect that's more about the US phone companies not wanting to invest in new equipment without significant Gov subsidies as there's often not really a lot of competition in their markets.

Exactly, finding security gaps in these kind of iOT devices (while damn common) is part of pushing companies to actually make them Kind of secure, up from 'free data/hardware access if you know the default admin password that's published on the internet in plain text'. So Hari is doing good work for the global community.
