Incorrect. Science is a process, if you "believe" in a claim or a result that's not Science. Science demands we constantly question and test things even when they are considered "settled." Questioning things like climate change is not Denial of Science. Refusing to question them is. Blindly following a result which caters to your desires is just as much of a problem as blindly rejecting the result.

It's almost impossible to find good sources. Most don't even tell you what sort of cooling is being used and are just shouting vaguely. Finding an article that actually tells you where the water is drawn from and where it goes is rare, because that would take actual effort to report and might take away from the currently popular "Big Tech BAD" narrative.

Other than people buying chips specifically for AI nothing is really dependent on it though. Sure, there's a lot of Execs telling investors things about AI "adoption" but that's mostly just bullshit so that investors feel reassured that company X isn't missing out on the next big thing. My guess is that it's a "mobile simulator" botfarm for hire, which rents services to people/organizations who want to run social media campaigns, artificially inflate view/follow/streaming numbers, buy/scalp tickets, bomb reviews, run SMS scams, and that sort of thing. I also suspect it's been known about for a while and they just took it down now as a "just in case" and for some easy publicity.

AI isn't intelligent, it doesn't reason or analyze and isn't capable of introspection. It's a buzzword for an advanced predictive database, and if you understand that it can do some pretty neat things. But when you buy into the marketing hype and try to use it to do things it's not suited for then you fail.
