Nailed it. Delta has proven to be a "breakthrough" variant which means millions of billions of virus particles are produced and have genetic drift. There will always be new variants because of this fact. It's so disappointing to see people actually believe that the vaccine(s) will end this pandemic. They wont. Its here to stay, very much like the flu. So are you looking forward to you yearly shot? I'll tell you what - I'm all for it - my Moderna stock has increased over 400%. So now what...are we going to require proof every year for a vaccination booster? Let's not stop there...lets make the flu vaccine mandatory as well. That'll serve the greater good and I'm sure drug companies will love it. My point - if you are a low risk individual you don't need a vaccine. If you're a high risk individual you should get the vaccine. As it's already proven that reinfection can occur, no high-risk individual is safe unless the have the vaccine and even then the can still get it.
