absolutely sick of my TV's not behaving like monitors.

they power off alright, albeit not as quickly as monitors, but ive gotta find the remote or press the power button to turn them back on, AND they take a while to boot.

would be so much nicer if i could move my mouse or press buttons on my keyboard to wake the whole setup from sleep instead of needing to also wake the displays.

they only understand how to rip people off and how to be cunts to anyone who doesn't do everything preciously how they have ordained.

wake me up when they stop being cunts, and when they start selling their games on PC. hell will freeze over twice before those cunts grow up and start being reasonable.

Submission + - No sex please, we're on Mars! Inside the simulated red planet mission (telegraph.co.uk)

fjo3 writes: No sex, no alcohol, no daylight, no fruit or vegetables, and no eye contact with your captors for 100 days.

It might sound like a hellish prison sentence, but these are the conditions for the European Space Agency’s (ESA) latest experiment to learn how humans cope in social isolation, before a mission to Mars.

On Thursday, six participants entered a sealed, simulated space station in Cologne, Germany, and will not be allowed out until August – unless something goes seriously wrong.

The trial – named Solis100 – is hoping to answer the question: What happens to a small team of humans who spend months isolated in a confined environment, without friends or family, under strict rules, cut off from the outside world?

its worse than that. more people entering the upper middle class is an indication of the economy doing worse, not better, because of those aforementioned two thirds that are completely screwed if anything goes wrong. it's strange that people would argue against most people being completely fucked by the current system. and not just the americans, but the entire world is fundamentally screwed by the continued existence of money. we will shrug it off eventually, and its gonna be a rough ride until then. good luck, have fun, don't die.

obviously as a trillion dollar company Meta needs to contribute back to the authors of those scientific and cultural works.
but the fundamental act of torrenting and seeding was entirely legal for meta and the rest of us to do, and none of us people are obligated to pay a cent, but meta must because thats the function of business, those who conduct commerce must remunerate each other, especially at the trillion dollar scale.
