Comment I quit tobacco using Lobelia Inflata Tincture (Score 1) 28
Bought some dried lobelia inflata, made a tincture using a bottle of vodka, strained it and bottled it in a multitude of lighter sized spray bottles to scatter throughout my life. at every thought of tobacco i'd spray a bunch of squirts under my tongue, by the end of the first week i had only attempted (and failed) to smoke 2 cigarettes.

the further i got into each of these 2 failed smokings the more violently ill i was made to feel by the accumulated lobeline in my system. the lobeline both eliminates the cravings and withdrawal symptoms, and inhibits the re-uptake of nicotine resulting in the extreme nausea when smoking is attempted.
the literature i have read certainly indicated this potential, as well as in combination with chamomile tea the potential to clear Pneumonia though the violent movement of the diaphragm the emetic potential of lobelia, and the loosening of the mucas thanks to warm chamomile tea.
the literature also contains significant FUD warning against it's use, but i swear by it for anyone wanting to quit tobacco.
ultimately the most important prerequisite to quitting addictions is a desire to change, without this no cure will be complete. though i DO WONDER ABOUT the method used in TFA.... because that sounds even more potent that using biochemistry to our advantage, and maybe the will of the subject (to quit addiction, not to undergo the procedure) is potentially irrelevant. whilst going from multiple packets to single digit amounts of cigarettes is a huge reduction, i would like to see more about this. to eliminate all addiction could be of great benefit to humanity.
