That is likely an old GPS system. With the availability of the EU's Galileo system and the Russian Glonass constellation, there are now enough satellites in the sky that you can determine a good location outside of a tunnel environment. And then, any decent navigation system will have directional sensors of some kind to keep you pretty close to your real location unless you lose satellites for a very long time. My credentials: I developed the route planning and guidance for Garmin in the 90s and early 00s.

That's because it's not finished yet. I've had a Tesla for 4 years (a Model S for 2 years, then a Model 3 for the last 2). The advancement in what Autopilot can do is very noticeable, and I haven't even got the software update yet to begin handling stop signs and lights. Of course it isn't Level 5 Autonomy yet, but the hardware is there to support it once the software gets there. Everyone buying a Tesla knows this.

Yeah but they have to live in OK. There's a reason it's cheap compared to desirable places to live near things to do. If you're the type that is fine with entertaining yourself at home and don't like cultural amenities or nature that isn't a flat prairie, then OK is fine. For everyone else, they will pay more to live someplace interesting.

Captain America 2 (Winter Soldier) is often considered one of the absolute best super hero movies ever made. You have a point with Thor 2. It made me have little interest in seeing Thor Ragnarok until the amazing trailer came out. Totally different and hilarious direction for Thor character.

The typical high school schedule is very out-of-step with typical teenage sleep cycles. That was the worst thing about high school for me, getting up early enough to the 6:40am bus. It makes much more sense to have the elementary kids go early as they tend to be early to bed, early to rise, and flip it for high schoolers.

So an EV is not right for you, but there is an incredibly tiny fraction of people that actually need 1000 miles of range and massive towing capacities. Really the range you need is the most miles you would drive in a day, as with an EV you start off full every day after charging at night. Very few people drive more than 100 miles a day (except on road trips). For them, a 300 mile range Tesla is more than adequate. Mine almost never gets below 200 mile range left.
