Our work week is artificial in the first place. Nothing stops us from going to a 4, or even a 3 day work week now. 40 hour work week is not a requirement other then some construct of what we deemed reasonable at the time. When we were "simple" hunters and gatherers, we really didn't have a '7 day' week. Everyone did was was needed, and as technology developed, we were able to relax more. Even Normay, and the Netherlands have figured out they could make the work week shorter, so why can't the rest of us?

"World poverty? Stays. Inequality? Stays. War and famine and disease and etc?" The problem with using those as examples is... They are all solvable problems today. Why won't they be? It cost the rich money because they would have to distribute their wealth back out to the masses. We could get everyone off the street, we could pay everyone better, War is just a "self-imposed" conflict because we humans suck at conflict resolution at scale. Famine - if you solve the mony problem, this goes away. Disease is a bit trickier As we found out with Covid sometimes sources can be "weird", depending on which "theory" you subscribe to. This reminds me of a line, or set of lines at the end of a Netflix series.

Outlook barely functions on a good day here on earth... What makes them think any version is going to work from orbit or further?

My answer is E. All of the above. Twice over. Does that mean I always agree with the Democrats on everything? No, I certainly do not. Do I side with them over the GOP - absolutely. I should probably ask one of my neighbors as they are (were?) an adimant die hard Trump supporter... Though for the State I live in, I don't think it matters, the odds of it even turning slightly a shade of 'purple' splitting between GOP and democrats is basically zero.

Apparently this is what our collective tax money is going towards... stopping projects that the administration doesn't like, and a war that we don't want... GOP no longer can say this is responsible government spending.

Yeah, recurring issues with drivers is a problem that states need to look at more seriously. One of my company offices is in the bay area, I know of a few cyclist there that have said how bad it can be at different times and places. It's unforunate that us cyclist basically have to "fight" to exist almost anywhere. Luckily for me, my state all the drivers are pretty reasonable, the worse problem I deal with sometimes is someone trying to make a right hand turn and sit in the bike lane to do it. Every time I see it, I get off of my bike, walk up to them and just stare at them for about 20 seconds.

Where Does Biking Fit in? Why don't they recommend that to more people. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I'm starting to bike to the office I work at.

Good bye Social Security. I'm not collecting it, but I'm going to say that pretty much EVERYONE knows at least 2 people that are collecting... I hope they aren't dependent on it. Because when this is "done", I'm pretty sure it will not work for at least several months, which will get the administration an excuse to say "nope, not fixing broken system that we broke, good bye social security payments!" then promptly reallocate the funds to their own pockets.

Two questions because when it comes to crypto I'm not really that well informed. 1- What's actually backing the value of crypto currency anyways aside from general venture capital. 2 - US to crypto and vice versa, fine it's worth a lot. What about Euro to Crypto, or Yen to Crypto, or any other country backed currency?

I'm surprised they aren't putting money into Drone based delivery systems... wouldn't flying packages around be a heck of a lot cheaper then human drivers, especially in the more rural areas, or even suburban areas which have single family homes?

Honestly no, I haven't. only thing I've done "recently" banking wise was setting up transfers from a brokerage account, and getting a mortgage loan about 5 years ago. Lots of paper work there on it's own, but as far as opening an account - No. I've ended up "switching banks" by "force" when certain banks left the region I was in, then bought out by a larger bank... which has made it easy for me because... all the transitions were easy and seamless, and never had to worry about transferring banks really.

I'm confused, I can understand why an investment company would need your social security number, so that it could be tied back to you for tax related purposes. I don't entirely agree with it but OK, fine. But Why would they need your driver's license information at all? If they are able to validate you are who you say you are based on your ID information, there's no need to Keep that set of record data long term.

Trump is pretty much a known con artist, I have zero sympathy for anyone who actually puts any money into this crypto scheme, because as soon as they have a load of money, they will just say "All Gone!"
