Does slashdot have any coding standards for advertisers at all? I finally figured out why things are sometimes centered, or why the CSS gets messed up- it's the banner advert on the top of the screen at work when I'm limited to IE. Never happens at home on Firefox because I've got advert blocking software installed there.
How stupid do you have to be to piss off potential customers by messing up the code in your banner adverts?

To this point, I use Safari and Firefox at home without an ad blocker, and I never have this problem. Very likely the editors of slashdot are unaware of this effect upon the IE browsers, and if they are they are choosing to ignore it.
But I very often get some stupid misrendering of my page on IE, it's nice to know it's from the adverts + IE.

an.tacoda.net/ and a.as-us.falkag.net/ are the big offenders here. I check occasionally to see if they correct the problem. When they do, I'll unblock them. Unless they use Flash...
