In the meantime, private equity is buying up local companies that deal in skilled trades (plumbing, HVAC, electrical), consolidating them under one roof, which will result in limited competition and drive down wages.

I dunno. You might be able to eat some of them, but not the ones you really want. Today's ultra wealthy have security/intel teams comprised of former SEALs, Delta operators, Secret Service, etc, and can move anywhere/anytime in the world they want (along with their wealth). They have eyes/ears everywhere and are pretty much untouchable.
I don't know what their idea is why "enabling up to 400 miles of range" is something that has yet to be done. There are multiple vehicles being sold with > 400 mile range, Tesla Model S for one (410 mile EPA). It is all a question of how big of a battery do you want to install.
I think they should've worded it as "LMR can deliver ~30% more range and at lower cost." Which is great and all, but I was kinda hoping for more of a breakthrough by then.

Not only do I work more than paid hours, but I am always available. If people need me, I will work no matter what time of night or on the weekend. If I'm forced to go into an office than I get a lot more resistant to off hours work because that time is easily already burned in the commute.
If anything, WFH drives my competitive spirit. I make it my mission to be more productive than anyone whose time management involves sitting in traffic.

In my neck of the woods, white-collar Trump voters are pissed about their 401Ks while the under-educated blue-collar crowd and retirees are doubling-down because he's pissing everyone else off, so he must be doing something right.

Pro-Trump people, from what I have observed, seem to fall into two categories: (1) females who are horrible judges of character, confusing narcissism with confidence and Machiavellianism with leadership. (2) men who score high in sociopathic/narcissistic traits, much like the president.
And funny enough, group #1 often gets into abusive relationships with group #2.
