Journal M.C. Hampster's Journal: The League of Amateur Gamers 9

I had to drop in to share this finding. I have been attempting to expand my friends list on XBL to include more like-minded individuals who don't have a lot of time to dedicate to gaming, and aren't interest in screaming "NIGGER!" whenever possible. I posted on the Halo 2 Multiplayer Bungie.net board and someone sent me a private message to this site:

The Leage of Amateur Gamers

The tag line, "spawn. die. spawn. die." says it all.

  • but I as WillHamsta am not into that kind of xBox game - Fable's not bad, a bit dark - Lego Star Wars is kind of fun - but I'm more of a Sims: The Urbz kind of guy.

I might pick up a copy of GTA: LA at some point and not tell him I have it - he's only 14. If they had GTA: Seattle or GTA: Vancouver (BC) then I'd buy those in a flash!

    • Well, this group is all about playing games on Live, not necessarily Halo 2. I've actually already found people that play Links 2004, which is nice because I can never find an active game when I've tried.

Um, basically he spent much of the weekend playing Black & White (a Lionhead game from the same studio that does Fable for the xBo

        • Live is like $50 a year, so it's a little less than $5 a month. Personally, the few hours a month I spend on Live playing Halo 2, or Burnout 3 are definitely worth it.

I don't believe that The Sims: The Urbz or Fable have online components to them.

Bummer! Now if there were Sims, or Sims: The Urbz, or Fable, or something like Dusk and Dawn (is that on the xBox?), then I could definitely pay $50 a year ... is there a website to check out which ones are online (without going thru tons of top level web page
