You don't have a 5 character username unless you worked at Google and figured out the magic to compile the caribou app without that restriction. 6 characters was always the absolute minimum for a reason.. I should know, I compiled the caribou binary while a Gmail SRE and end up with a 5 character user name that gets HUNDREDS of spam messages a day. =)

Idaho has "county codes" on the plates. 1A = "Ada County" , 2c = "Canyon County", etc. Makes it easy to figure out why that terrible driver is to terrible ("they are clearly not from here!")

I have gotten glares because I carry three things onto the airplane with me. People assume that I am flaunting the system and special... *Except:* One of those items is an Americans With Disabilities Act qualified medical device that keeps me alive. In the US they can NOT be counted against my baggage requirements, they can not impact the other bags that I bring onto the plane. So no checking the other bag because of the ADA device. I have not had too many troubles with attendants. My last flight I counted five of the same device in the overheads as I walked past. Often these "bag hoarders" are not what you assume.

yea.. I have a 5 character account that is both a common first name, and last name. I still use it and Gmail has gotten fairly good at filtering out completely useless crap but its a lot more work than just using an email on a private domain for sure. I do love it though when trying to give people an email address they can remember: "Its just at gmail.com." The look of bewilderment is always fun. =)

Funny that they chose Micron too considering it has manufacturing in the US (Boise and Manassas) and only one manufacturing site in China proper. The problem is that most assembly happens in China still so this cuts them off from a huge amount of final assembly deals.
