A camera only system can only be capable of superhuman performance if object recognition is at least as good as humans are capable of. Currently, computer vision systems are nowhere near as good as humans at that and probably won't be for a very long time. Besides, for all "better optical sensors than the human eye" inferring is still performed with low resolution images, much lower resolution than a human eye is capable of, because it is computationally very expensive. This is why all those recaptcha images that are used to train computer vision systems are so small.

Hence his claim is spot on.

My first reaction is that if one company is selling at half the price, that company will go bankrupt at twice the speed since every transaction was already a money-loser. Customers are absolutely the worst thing for these "businesses."

But is revenue really significant? I can see how neither reducing the price to $0 or increasing their price to 10x what it was, might not really have much of a different impact on the bottom line, compared to all the debt.
