Kona is domestic. It's also already far more than 50% more expensive than commodity brands like Folgers.

On the other hand, East African coffee is the shit and is experiencing minimal tariffs. Do yourself a favor and pick up an Ethiopian heirloom bean or a more general Kenya blend. Ethiopia alone has more coffee varieties than the entire Western hemispehere.

Most people in the U.S. work under at-will employment. You can be fired for pretty much anything.

If you like the wrong sports team. If you wear a yellow shirt. If you don't supplicate yourself up on entering the manager's office. If you support Elon Musk.

All fireable offenses.

There are a small set of protected classes over which you cannot be fired. Gender. Age (old only). Race. Religion. Sexual orientation. Familial status. Disability or other medical condition. I think that list is exhaustive, but I might have missed something.

The median age of a dead person today is over 70 years old. That means if you were correct, half of the skeletons we find would be over 70.

It's you who needs to find a citation for that wild claim, not me.

If you and your entire team can all effectively make architectural decisions about a project and generate good documentation, it doesn't matter what you use.

But what I'm getting at is that Symfony has much better, fully formed architecture, while Laravel leaves you hanging.

You CAN use Laravel to do what Symfony does by making good architectural decisions. But the reason this Laravel guy is bitching about poor use of Laravel is specifically due to the fact that it's a cobbled together solution with little architectural planning. If your team can pick up the slack there, it won't matter. But for most teams, Symfony will provide the correct way of doing things, so there's less room for error.

"By definition you DO have to exceptional to invest in the SP500 and cancel spotify because people who've done so are the exception and not the rule."

Because poor people have been lied to by the media and government and told that homeownership is the path to wealth. That was true right after WWII. Now it's a zombie fact. We never had a government push to get people to invest like we did to get people to move to the suburbs. The people and their exceptionalism is not the issue here.

"Perhaps the parents with those kids should pay to form special schools."

Perhaps communities should raise their property taxes so they can afford to provide public education for all.

Following your argument to its logical conclusion, we just shouldn't do public school; we should leave it to the parents. Most people would disagree with that policy.
