As far as I can determine, red-bag waste is the only type of regulated/hazardous waste that would be eligible for burning (non-hazardous flue-gas, infectious materials sterilized). On the other hand, medical waste likely has a higher moisture content than any burnable solid waste... I wouldn't be surprised if fuel cost is the primary cost associated with incinerating it.
