Just think of the meaning of delighted as de-lighted, i.e. have taken the light away.
How long do you have to hold the Planck position for it to be a unit?
So, nothing changed?
Being religious already means you;'re easily enough to fool with fairy tales. Now try not to hurl realising 85% of people adhere to one religion/cult or another.
Btw, Gervais had a point, why is there are term for not believing in a fantasy like an almighty god, but not one for not believing fairy tales or fantasy fiction or the like? I don't feel like im atheist, I feel like I'm a person with reasoning capability, knowing fantasy from reality (I'd never call myself normal in the first place
Windows 2000 (workstation and server) was the best version that I worked with. Anything after that was only downhill and even 2000 had plenty to complain of.
A completely blank desktop (currently openbox on Devuan) is the only one that I like. Give me a bare-bones OS with network connection and everything else as opt-in.

That's the beauty of software, it doesn't have to be of value to anyone but those who put effort in it.
It is always DNS.
Indeed, everything seems infected with Google DNS IPs nowadays.
For me it was more the other way around, though still far from great. I only thought the ability to communicate with the xenomorph made an interesting twist.
The eyetopus's creepy high intelligence would be scary were it not for the eyetopus itself being like an idea a child came up with.
I think the series had nothing of the mood that made the first movie so good, there was no tension at all, especially with all the dumb plot points and characters in it. The game Alien: Isolation did it correctly years ago and that would have been a way better base for a new series.
By the time season 2 is out and complete I'll probably watch it because I do like science fiction, but the same way I watched this one, when I feel like doing nothing and thinking the presence of the xenomorph is a coincidence.
Looks like I need to write the sequel to The Thing that's been on my writing list for so long to have my fix of old-fashioned terror. Pluribus is interesting but has so far been very predictable and the main character is kind of a stereotypical lone heroine.
From his reply to a remark on the mailing list https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2025/10/msg00288.html:
Rust is already a hard requirement on all Debian release
architectures and ports except for alpha, hppa, m68k, and
sh4 (which do not provide sqv).
Looks like it's already a thing and thus inevitable. I just hope simple, straightforward software like openbox, remind, Xpad, won't break in the future.
..would be rebuilding it into a variant of the Nebula or Helios class of my own design, which I think looks much better.
Just like the last model I bought back in 1996, the Black Cat truck. Bought it with the plans to turn it into a more realistic model, which I finally did 22 years later and it looks great even if I say so myself. I've only seen one other rebuild ike it on the net.
Steam is not how I like my gaming experience.
I decide if and when to install updates, and (free user) mods should be downloadable witout needing an account.
And yes, I do use GOG for the stand-alone installation of games.
