I have had my first timee to experience LinuxWorld first hand in San Francisco for the first time. It was amazing! There were hands-on labs and tutorials which were basically training sessions, where you would be taught about certain linux-related classes. It looks as if Shaun and I are going next year in Boston.

I just got back from the Southern California Linux Expo in Los Angeles at the LA Convention Center. It was amazing, though it wasn't what I expected. I expected it to be bigger than it was, but I still loved it and am going to go next year. I got a bunch of cool free stuff and I'm going to apply for the Linux Mastercard and support open source. I'll recieve points and the points will go to fund open source, cool huh! The seminars were interesting too. They had some good points that I never thought of. The seminar with Seth Nickell on "The Unified Linux Desketop" made a valid point. He talked about FreeDesktop.org and what they are doing to move linux to the desktop market.
