So, he's charged with destroying evidence for a crime he may or may not have committed. Put in that light, maybe innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply here. But even calling it "evidence" sets up the bias. Destroying data for possible crime is a way to put it, but then that seems like minority report. The other point is that like, I'd argue a defense that it wasn't me 'protecting' or 'destroying' anything--it was preemption of possible viruses or what-have-you loaded onto the phone out of his person.

So Citizens United in effect argued corporations should have privileges humans enjoy (donating cash to campaigns). What about data centers? I mean, individual data centers, outside of ownership? Clip the data centers and you clip AI, so they are national importance, on par with the corporations above them.

You know what isn't a bad idea is a requirement that to obtain a driver's license, you must first pass a (simple) video game. The game doesn't have to be difficult--you want to go from A to B? Do it on the video game and show how it's done.

I had a hard time figuring out where the problem was because the summary left out the detail that ai-training on books destroys them without saving the data (the book lettering, i guess) in the process. That's a big detail to leave out. I mean, I don't know if I have an issue if it's otherwise--that, during the course of it, the books are digitized and made available. But that's something that I can understand people would argue against, i.e., they believe the loss of a physical copy of a rare book is something to avoid. Totally understandable. However, isn't a valid counteragument that the bookseller's prerogative whether to sell a book or not?
