afaik, iMac models with Thunderbolt have new-enough CPUs with IOMMU support - devices can have private VRAM. Whether or not Lion and PCI device drivers make use of it, dunno!

All separate incidents. So when have we EVER seen any significant cut to police services when demand (crime is at an all-time low)? Never. nothing in software is ever free of bugs. just because it's a bug-fix doesn't preclude the possibility of the bug-fix itself (or its side effects) from introducing new bugs, or being an incomplete fix which just happens to pass whatever inadequate test was thrown at it.
