Well, just how do you think new words, definitions, and pronunciations become a part of a language? The way everyone talks about language it seems like they want to keep it in the status quo. It's like all those people that say that "ain't" is not a word. Well, it's a popular contraction that can take the place of all negative conjugations of the verb to be...sounds like it's making a language more concise and easier to use. And the fact that it's used by millions of people a day obviously shows it has earned a place in the evolving English language.
