GMontag's Journal: Okay Blinder: The MBTP Report

In response to an impassioned request, here is the Montag Milk Bread and Toilet Paper Report for 26 January, in the year of our Lord, 2004.

Departed apartment approx. 0830 hrs. Would have left earlier, but I waited for the grounds crew to clean off the sidewalks.

Abandoned cars: 2 (IIRC).

Snowfall: about 3" by the time of my departure.

Road conditions: Pretty decent, nothing that the awsome 4WD system on the Hydrogen Powered Jeep could not handle.

Top speed: 35 MPH

Bodycount at my office: two in my grpup, including me, at my 0900 arrival.

Milk Bread and Toilet Paper orgy probably began last night.

Notes: After dropping off The Kimberly at her place in Maryland last night, I stopped by Cafe Mont Martre in the hard Left Lake Anne zone of the People's Republic of Reston, VA. Arrival time around 1830 - 1900. No snow. By the time I left there was an inch of snow or more, around 2100.

The freezing mist for the afternoon has already begun.

If only 2 abandoned vehicles is the actual number, and I trust it is, then it may indicate that the trend is down.

Wonder if that means anything significant.

Heh, our headcount here is way down. Most gave the "oh I tried to get into work, but well, the roads were just sooo bad." Ha, laugh at them!

But I will say this, if you are going to try to get into work, read this [slashdot.org]first. Hard lessons learned easy.

The person you quote can hate me too. I finally got tired of cleaning off all of the snow on the Jeep when I noticed that I was the only person in sight who had done so.
