Journal GMontag's Journal: The Hottest Chick on Earth to 'Blog Soon! 23

Monday, June 23 2003
We think that maybe she has more to say . . . Beginning soon, Ann regularly will offer her thoughts on issues and ideas of the day here on her blog, CoulterGeist, exclusively on Human Events Online. If you thought her weekly column and her books raised the ire of liberals, wait until the Left gets a load of CoulterGeist. - Posted 9:29 AM

  • Can you define where this phrase comes from? What does it mean exactly? Please explain.
    • The people of the Left, politically, that hate America.

Glad to be of service :-)
      • Which people? Can you cite some examples how they hate America?
        • Prooven beyond any doubt would be the Rosenbergs and Alger Hess.

Next tier down would be all of these folks running around acting as if they were on the Iraqi (old regime) payroll. Like Tom Daschel, John F. Kerry, Sidney Bloomenthal, Maureen Dowd, Robert K. Fisk (foreign example), and Scott Ritter.

Odd that one name listed above is prooven to have been on Saddams payroll, but all of them were saying the same things.
          • You mean like this [cnn.com] guy? Glad we cleared that up!
            • Oh Claudia, no I do not mean like that but you sound like you are trying to weasle yourself into the next edition of The Ann's book :-)

Actually, try chatting with someone that just completed [slashdot.org] the book too. More perspectives are usually better.
              • Of course, more perspectives are better. The more voices are heard, the greater the chance that you might hear the truth spoken.

You didn't answer about Rumsfeld meeting with Saddam though. I'm merely adding him to your vaunted list, especially Maureen Dowd who took every pain she could every day during the Clinton administration to bash him. Did you think she was anti-American then?

Ann's book? Yep -- I'm working on some cute butt shots, but, shhhhh, don't tell her. It's a surprise! ;-)

Oh, you are bashing an official state visit by Mr. Rumsfeld as some sort of rogue anti-American thing? No, it is nothing of the sort. But I recognoze the sophomoric attempt at distraction.

As far as Ms. Dowd is concerned, I was not reading her then, b
                  • Questioning is not the same as bashing. If you are going to call liberals anti-American, you better damn well be able to stand up to that comment.

Or, hell, just read the rest of the site.

Or, this: [consortiumnews.com] Time magazine reported that in March 2002 - a full year before the invasion - Bush outlined his real thinking to three U.S. senators, "Fuck Saddam," Bush said. "We're taking him out."

Or, this: [truthout.org] CLARK: "Well, it came from the White House,

        • Oh, sorry, I left out the best current example, that stupid anti-American ex-governor of Vermont. He is not as good as James Carville in the slick comments department as he demonstrated on the Tim Russert show this weekend.

          Paraphrased:
ex-gov: We need more troops in Iraq

          Russert: How many?

ex-gov: I don't know exactly, but we need more.

Russert: How many troops have we on active duty now?

ex-gov: I don't know, between one and two million

Russert: How many more will you have as president?

          ex-gov: I don't
          • Doh! NOW I get it. Reminds me of something similar that happened in 1999 [arizona.edu].
            • Well, not exactly but you could stretch it there with some industrial equipment.

Bush, IIRC, was not popping off about how "badly" the sitting president was doing in those areas, in fact he was not saying anything at all about those places. Some reporter just started asking him who the leaders were and he did not know.

Contrast this with the Commie from VT, his main thrust was how Bush does not know what he is doing with the military, yet the potential challenger had no answers to the problems that he was
              • Okay, now I'm starting to understand a bit better. You initially made it seem like Dean was anti-American because he didn't know the number of troops in Iraq.

So, let me ask you then, why do you call him anti-American and a Commie? And please don't parrot Coulter or Hannity. I'd like YOUR opinion.

                Is it:

                a) He couldn't quote accurate numbers.
                b) He didn't offer up his own solution to the problem, as you said.
                c) He criticized the standing president.
                d) all of the above
                e) your opinion

                You're right, Bush wasn't
                • Nice invention of motive about Dean and ignoring anything I said.

As I stated, it is obviously:
                  b) He didn't offer up his own solution to the problem, as you said.

And I would add, he is just bashing for the sake of bashing as if he were on the payroll of North Korea and Cuba.

Cute quip about Bush, not winning you any quality points.

BTW, I once did the same childish bashing about Regan, same as you are attempting, while propping up Carter with the same childish defense you are bringing. Please, either get
                  • So then, it's b AND c.

I love how Bush defenders, when confronted in a logical way with nothing but facts, or even a simple question as to why they hold their beliefs, resort to ad hominem attacks because there is no other defense available to them. You're being childish! Shut up, close your eyes, run along, and if you don't, you're anti-American!

P.S. Kim-Jong Il just gave me 20 quality points! Oh, and I'm on Fidel's payroll. They have wonderful 401K plans, not to mention the best strawberry shortcake in
