U.S. to Beam TV Show to Iran From Washington

Essentually, Voice of America will be beaming a Farsi (the WP calls it "Persian-language" for some reason) program called "News and Views" into Iran by satellite.

Informative article, but somehow the word "Farsi" appears noplace in the article. Perhaps the Post has discovered some other "Persian-language" besides Farsi? You know, they are so much smarter than us :-)

I asked my friend Mehran, who is himeself from Iran, and the only Persian language he is aware of is Farsi, which he is fluent in.
