Journal FroMan's Journal: Red Warrior 8

Red Warrior is in. Sure, it's not the most glamorous list in the world, but its my friends list. This is the one that finally sealed it for me. Telling off that self righteous liberal prick js7a was fantastic. His post points out that the soldiers over there are there by choice, they chose their careers in the military. Second, we are not slaughtering innocents carelessly or intentionally. The best part, he knows this first hand, because he is over there serving his country (and I would say also the Iraqi people).

While ofcourse we would all love to see no war, see everyone have the oppertunity to grow up in a healthy family, live in peaceful times, the reality is that there are evil men in the world who choose to kill, inflict pain, and terrorize innocents. Then there are men that are willing to stand up against those folks, good men, who are willing to fight not just for themselves, but for their country also and even those who they do not even know, either out of duty or general concern for the welfare of others.

For those interested Red Warrior's journal can be found here. He has been quite dilegent in keeping it up to day while he has been in Iraq.

Remember to keep Red Warrior in your prayers that he may also return home in safety when his service is done.

  • Does anyone know RW's real name?

I'd like to ask my wife's church to pray for him, and I'd prefer to use his real name than a handle.

E-mail is fine, ICQ or AIM (261-06-342) works, but please note why you want authorization.

CmdrTaco can thank js7a for getting me to fork over the $$$ for a /. subscription. Ad-blocking is no big deal (adblock [mozdev.org] handles that nicely for all websites) and the Mysterious Future isn't all it's cracked up to be, but using your foes list to ban known pinheads from your JEs is pretty cool.

    • # any url with /banner/ or /banners/ in it. //banner(s)?//
      # same as above, but ad, ads, adserver, adv, ... //ad(s|server|v|vert|vertising)?//
      # this one is a bit more curious, since handling news.google.com and rush's site both use periods in their image urls and caused this to lockup mozilla. Basically it filters any server with ad, ads, adserver, ... /http://([^/]*?\.)*?ad(s|server|vert|vertising)(\ . [^/]*?)*?//

Pop those three into adblock if you don't have them yet.

Bah, I'll just foe them for kicks (o
    • And many thanks! I just saw that again. I do think that I shall start making my JEs no foes, just for js7a. He has the honor of being my only foe, after 3 years...
  • Some people NEED killing. They're better off dead. We're better off with them dead. (Not talking about the babies, but the terrorists.)

Sorry, it has to be said. Our armed forces are over there doing a great job, killing the people that need killing, and as a supporter I am not about to apologise for it. Sorry to be offtopic, and Thank you Red Warrior.
