Submission + - Sophos apologises for going legal on school techs

EvilGrin666 writes: "Sophos recently threatened EduGeek, a UK community run site for IT support staff working in Education, with legal action over comments posted about it's desktop antivirus product on the site forums (They have since been removed by the site administrators). However Sophos have appologised for threatening the site and its owners. Stating that:

A Sophos employee got very upset about the language used in some of the postings and felt strongly that something should be done. In fact, they felt so strongly, they managed to convince a member in our legal department to write an official letter to the website administrator!
The Register has also covered this story."

Submission + - eBayer bids $89m for PS3

EvilGrin666 writes: "Someone — fool, twit, dunderheard, call them what you will — has apparently agreed to pay more than $89m for a 60GB PlayStation 3. At least he or she doesn't have to pay the shipping cost — the seller is generously including UPS delivery in the price.

The Register has the full scoop and a screen shot of the auction (eBay has removed it)."
