Submission + - Texas company claims patent on spam filtering

EvilAlphonso writes: "Texas company claims patent on spam filtering, then proceeds to sue 36 companies for infringement.

After a quick check of the patent, it only mentions "junk email" in passing while describing email and seems to only consist of an information lookup in a centralized database. However the lawsuit will be in the Eastern District of Texas as expected for a patent troll. There are some surprising companies getting sued."
