Submission + - Election problems of all sizes

Eric Coleman writes: Associated Press via CNN has an article in their "offbeat" section about a mayoral election in a small Arkansas town of about 80 people. One of the 3 people running received zero votes even though he voted for himself. What makes this noteworthy of concern is that the press is considering election failures in sparsely populated errors to be "offbeat" or less than newsworthy. The concept of the vote is the foundation on which our society was built, for even the consitution itself had to be voted on before it was accepted as law.
