  • I'm completely recovered from one hell of a fun friday, there was some damned fine baseball over the weekend, I'm not hungover, and my paycheck comes today. Life is good.
  • I don't have that problem so much now, I crawl into bed when my body tell me to (usually anytime from 10pm onwards), and I wake up to my radio alarm, check my e-mail and surf, have muesli and tea and watch the morning news, before getting ready for work.

    Anyway, it's lunchtime now, so I made it to the halfway mark - only another 4.5 hours and I'm off home again. :)

      look... you've been sick for what? a week? more? and you may be wondering why you have't gotten better??? well... um yeah... you probably need 2 or 3 days of rest... that means... REST... as in, in bed, or on the sofa, floor... whatever... and more importantly... it means NOT DOING SHIT! Not going out, not working, not whatever!

        Read the JEs he's written. I feel no sympathy, cause he's out being a player. Were he truly sick, I'd feel sorry for him :)

        However, if you feel like ass and have the sick days, take them man. That's what they are there for.

      • Well I stayed home yesterday and didn't do anything. I thought I was ok this morning, but I'm feeling worse. If I don't feel better, I will stay home tomorrow. I was finally able to eat something after not eating all day yesterday, so maybe that will make me feel better.

    I, on the other hand, managed to nearly get caught up on my sleep this weekend! Yeah... i was in bed by 10pm on friday night (oh yeah... i am teh r0xr), and pretty much the same on saturday night.

    i mean... for the last, hmmm... nearly 2 weeks, I'd been staying up till like 12:30 a.m. sometimes 1am even one night 2am (on a school night!) sheesh... not entirely smart.

  • I raked the entire yard yesterday. For the record, I own 3 large mature trees. My neighbors have another 7 or so that blow leaves into my yard. My poor little body hasn't exercised in many years. I can't feel my back and both elbows feel like they are outta socket.

    But damn did I have energy last night! And I ended up eating an equivalent of 3 FK dinners last night at dinner (but my stomach didn't appreciate it late last night...).

      • I think some Rastafarians have actually tried to protect religious ceremonies that included the use of small, ritualized fires, and have met with less than reassuring results.

        I still expect reform of drug laws in our lifetimes, at some point we have to get tired of locking up poor people for trying to make a living and enabling a culture of violence and oppression in our inner cities....not to mention wasting law enforcement resources and alienating PO's from the people they try to protect.   • Thanks for askin - I managed much to my wife's chagrin, to do damned near NOTHING all weekend. I think the biggest accomplishment for the entire weekend was making Chili in the crock-pot and getting beer (my beater's actually in pieces right now where my brother and I tried to replace the head unit this weekend, which didn't work).

    I fell asleep REALLY early both days, and am peacefully relaxed today. Got up late, rolled into work (I was still the first person here at 10:00). This day rocks.
