Journal Em Emalb's Journal: Poll: For women (primarily) 11

As we saw in FK's journal, most men seem to like curvy women. As this doesn't jive with hollywood and all that, I figured I'd ask the women (all 5 of you, woooh!) who read this to respond to my poll.

I will obviously need a little help here ladies, so please spread the word to the ladies who read your journals.

What physical shape do you like most in a man:

A) thin

b) medium-build. not thin, not thick, average I guess would be a way to state it.

c) muscular

d) beer-bellied--ie, in good shape, with a gut.

e) over-weight

f) obese

g) other--the usual scape-goat route for things I forget in the 20 seconds it takes me to come up with these things.

Have fun objectifying us. Call it turn about is fair play. I figure some of our friends here could use some insight on women, Lord knows they aren't gonna get it in person ;)

I'll go with G if I can get it to cover "wrinkly brain" (as opposed to the smoother brains). Otherwise, I gotta go with, "Who cares?"

Sheesh, you'd think that both sexes would know the trends by now : in general men care about looks, and women care about clues of 'high status' -- signals that a potential mate will be a 'good provider'.

You guys should all love the inequality of that. While one woman might see a cool car and think, "he's rich enough to afford
    • While I appreciate the sentiment, I *did* ask about physicality. I am well aware that women are smarter than men when it comes to issues regarding size and shape, and realizing it's what's on the inside that counts. However, I did state that caveat in the poll :)

so nanner nanner nanner :P thanks for the response though.
    • On second thought, I and everyone else should discount my vote. I'm told that (despite being in my late 30s) my likes and dislikes are more similar to those of a 15 year old boy than to any other generalized group. Things like: a love for sci-fi stories/movies, horror films, all things tech, and arguing.

Biggest turn-on: a collection of THOUSANDS of purchased albums (CDs, vinyl, whatever). Oooh, baby! Why am I the only female How can a woman resist a man with obsessively complete collections of music?
  • As a man, I like other men:
    h) far away from my girl...

    :-P

    Hmmm, lesseee...

    A) thin - yes, lanky is good.
    b) medium-build. - also nice,
    c) muscular - as long as it's not overboard. If it looks like your trying to compensate for something, like say, a lacking personality, I'd have to pass. But otherwise, yum.
    d) beer-bellied--ie, in good shape, with a gut. - still good, you're in good shape but still know how to have a good time.

Ok, that was pretty varied. But the general rule is, if you're in good enough shape

    • Hmmm... I think bq just likes MEN in general. :-)

I'm similar in my taste for women. I've dated everything from "full figured" women to models. As long as she has a brain and a personality and similar interests, and isn't just dating me because (she thinks) I have money, we'll go out. If it clicks, it clicks.

I prefer medium build girls... too thin == you look like a guy. Too obese == you aren't going to be able to go water skiing or snow skiing or jogging or riding Sea Doos or play racquetball or

  • I want:

    J) Taller than me and pretty solid.

I'm not into really muscular. I'm not into scrawny either -- I tend to go for guys who are a little larger than average.

    *Shrug*

It just seems to be a recurring theme...75% of the guys I've dated fall into the "larger than average" category, but they don't have *huge* beer guts or anything.

The reward for working hard is more hard work.

Working...
