I'm a 1L right now, and I really enjoy it, but damn is it expensive. A lot of people go to law school, spend a lot of money and effort, then take the bar, work in a firm for a couple of years, and bail out of law altogether.
One other thing to remember is that rankings are pretty much crap. Beyond telling you roughly who is in the top third, I wouldn't place much credence on them. If you get serious about law school, visit the schools you're interested in. Sit in on a few classes. Think about where you'd w
I'll certainly visit everywhere I apply, and I'm probably not going to go to a top school just because I'm not going to take out $200,000 in loans. I have no interest in any job that would allow me to pay that back.
