I can't believe it! I just started looking at Slashdot's friends/fans/foes/freaks system, and I have ten fans!!! Plus, there are two fictional characters (like me!), a UFP automated probe and a Cthuloid deity among you!

Hello to CptnHarlock, daeley, dbremner, diffuze, Louis_Wu, npsimons, Nyarly, solferino, stripes and warpeightbot! I look forward to reading your jornals and comments in the near future.

I'm so -- *SNIF* -- happy! (This is a good time to picture Sandra Bullock fanning her face in Miss Congeniality.)

  • I was thinking the exact same thing! I just started posting to slashdot on the 28th and noticed that I have three fans! I'll add you as an honorary friend. ^_^
  • Louis_Wu cleans the Tang off of the monitor, the keyboard, the desk, and the speakers.

    I have laughed that hard twice in the last month, the first being while at a friend's house (bad Karaeoke, but really funny), the second being at that Sandra Bullock/Sally Field image. Thanks. :)

    • You think that's funny, I have nasal coffee burns from imagining the fanning the face being done by Ripley in Aliens 2 with the loader exoskeleton on. LOL

And then I came here and I realized that these women are smart, terrific people who are trying to make a difference in the world. And we've become really good friends. I mean, I know we all secretly hope the other one will trip and fall flat on her face...but oh wait a minute, I've already done that! And for me this experience has been one of the most rewarding and liberating experiences of my life.
