Yeah, those subtitles can be pretty 'orrible, no question. I've often wondered if there was work there for humans, until I remember that most humans' spelling, grammar, punctuation are pretty weak too. Still, better than nothing, and I do miss it when the subtitles are not available. And it's always a surprise when I turn them on for a particular thing, and find them to be in Russian (!) or Spanish or German or whatever. I leave them on (well, except for the Russian ones because I can't read the script at all): hoping that maybe more of the language will soak in through my subconscious or whatever :-)

why my Special Operations Association reunion is usually scheduled in October. Of course, it's in Las Vegas, which might not help with the "good weather" part. Well, at least it probably won't be raining ... although hardly anything about the reunion is outdoors :-)

Wow, I didn't know that about the Greatful Dead! Of course the only "concert" I've ever been to was an Elton John solo at the Fayetteville (NC) Colliseum. Enjoyed it; would've enjoyed Hendrix or some hard rock band better though, alas.

I've never heard of Waze or any other system designed to defeat camera systems. And it's been my habit, for most of my life now, to push that "10 MPH over the limit" line. But this seems fair, now that I'm older and more moderate in my driving habits. Still, I have to wonder if all the tricks I used Back In The Day with my motorcycles (pigdog Norton 750 Atlas, and then my beloved BMW R75-5) to defeat radar (careful use of lanes, using other vehicles to block my much smaller radar signature would still work at all :-)
