No, it’s likely a learning curve will round off some of those sharp points he stomped his feet over. Still, the Trump will find plenty of opportunities for his foot to fall into his mouth.

Comment China’s Censorship (Score 1) 121

Such an endeavour would shake up China’s censorship of the internet (or anyone else for that matter). There’s a strong potential here for Internet 2.0 — as independent of terrestrial WAN, while "Free" in the sense that might operate independent from the regulations of any one country.

First, much of what the president says publicly will be heavily screened. It’s likely a team of advisors will focus on "training" the new president to maintain a calculated and benign tone. It may reveal an extra thick layer of insulation — not normally used by any past president. As a result, squeaking something like this out will likely pass heavier screening than normal. Second, curiosity in this subject — to the level of intent, are typical of a personal inclination towards: science, a sensitivity/interest in humans as a species, technology, and a drive for absolute truth in the origins of human life. To this, it could be said the president might not care enough to look into it, and were this so, still must pass the extra heavy filters around him. Each new president has a break-in phase. During this phase, the vigour and intent they go in with, is quickly calmed by the realization of many things that simply cannot be known outside the position — like winning the position of class president, only to find out you can’t change the length or recess to 30 minutes — only these are far deeper revelations changing their demeanour.

How are we looking at a galaxy so very faint and very small — 13.1 billion lightyears away? If light took 13.1 billion years to reach us, that means such a galaxy was at that position 13.1 billion years ago — 700 million years after the big bang. Here's the kicker: What would we see if we were able to take the same photo of the same galaxy 700 million years ago? Would we see the big bang? The Earth was here at that time, so what's at play here?

There’s been so much "Me too" within the Microsoft culture, shame is completely toothless to them. The recognition of a potential new market is always followed by a plan to own it... iPod: Zune, iPad: Surface, iPhone: Windows Phone, Siri: Cortana, Apple Store: Microsoft Store, Mac OS: Windows.

It stands to reason the "Me too" effect cannot suffer association to one of the most known OS platforms in history. To call the next Windows OS "Windows 9", would draw a direct comparison to Apple’s old platform. They simply wouldn't have it. Now, if Apple were threatened by this, they might of called Yosemite "OS XI", a troubling word in the Chinese language pronounced "os see". But that didn't happen.

No mystery here. Just marketing.

Comment Privacy (Score 1) 372

There goes all the privacy anyone will have now, and in the future. The only bridge remaining is to pass a law that says any torrent site will be required to yield data. From there, the MPAA can define what a torrent site is by it's activity, even though it may be a commercial site. Yes, our privacy is lost, and the constitution is cut down once more.
