Could a legal expert please weigh in how and why the statute of limitations is THIS low on this?
If you steal some bread from Walmart or rob a bank, is it also just 2-3 years?

These people used to equally blindly cheer FOR Elon.. do not expect them to have any morals, actual ethics or real, strong, foundational values.
They only have enemies, temporarily useful steppingstone-allies and their own Endsieg in mind. And I use this word intentionally, because it matches them perfectly.
The very idea and narrative that Iran has any claims to that part of the ocean is completely wild, at least 2-3 other countries are right there and have the same theoretical right and claims, even before we get into international and maritime laws.
And once you understand that this straight is not in any way, shape or form a personal property of the Iranian bloodregime, you also understand the extent to which this bloodregime is holding pretty much the entire world hostage based on absolutely nothing.
The bloodregime and the IRGC absolutely have to go, no discussion about it, and it is in the interest of the entire world at this point. Whether you like or hate the cheetoman or the Isrlis. The multifaceted statesponsored Iranian terror absolutely has to end, it has been going on for far too long without checks or balances.
I used to really like 1Password, then they forced everyone into a subscription and to store on their servers.
I fled to Minimalist and tried Bitwarden on Android. Now Minimalist is toast, and looks like Bitwarden is falling as well.
The list of great options is growing ever slimmer, especially with some convenience, nice design and well integrated - without subscriptions and allowing storage of choice.
This right here is the typical micro$oft m.o., to abuse their position of having a couple of feet in the door and then locking businesses down with freemium offers.
That is the only reason batshit insane trash like sharepoint even still exists, for example.
And antitrust cannot crack down on them fast enough!
This is excellent news for all experienced tech people, our time to become tech shamans has come!
We will be the only ones who actually still understand the whole mess and how things work.
Unfortunately it will be increasingly difficult for juniors to ever get a chance to work and learn, which means they will almost not become senior, which pushes experienced people even higher.
Hail the Omnissiah and evoke the rite of the power cycle!
So you think it is just a massive coincidence that States in the US are suddenly enforcing the exact same think-about-the-children as the entire EU, all at the same time?
And they all attack OperatingSystems as well, all the way to F/OSS like Linux?
Just micro$oft doing typical micro$oft things. The clippy that keeps on giving!
It was never about age verification at all, so they do not care that the actual age checks fail.
The infrastructure, the global legal frameworks and policies are in place, that is all that mattered to them.
If proton can runs games, it can absolutely run your tax software. Just add to Steam and launch with proton - this should work for pretty much all windos software, really. You could do it all manually but linking it in Steam is just easier.
Anyone had any doubt that this is EXACTLY what would happen once micro$oft got its claws into GitHub?
That is what they have been doing since at least the 90s.
Sublime Text is also a great option Im very happy with - and I agree that N++ shines specifically on Windos, it was designed and written for that desktop / UI philosophy while Sublime comes much more from mac traditions.
You should be more tolerant and inclusive about this, or else!
Why is this whole topic always presented as a foregone conclusion? Suddenly there is this alleged age verification (actual invasion of privacy) in bills and laws all over the Western world and there was never really any discussion about it, instead headlines are focused on minutiae.
And there is barely any pushback or actual discussion. This is very creepy to see.
That is a bit low, the youngens are really slacking off... or nobody really cares about socialmedia anymore anyway, it is nothing but a propaganda pipeline straight into your conscious and subconscious nowadays.
It has never been this cheap and easy to flood an entire society with your erosive filth.
