Journal Journal: Am I changeing your opinion? Or are you doing that yourself?

Can I change you enough so that you change your opinion? Or if I do keep going on and on and keep presenting you with the same data or a religious attitude that you previously disagreed with, and decided to changed your mind, did you really change your mind? Or did I brainwash you?

Ive heard that the media knows how this little game works all well with advertising yet my friends seem to think that if YOU can't ever change someone else's mind be it if they have an addiction, are suicidal or believe in some religious madness so much they don't accept anything else.

Is this stupidity? Is it staying to your beliefs? What's the difference in changing someones opinion, brainwashing and "deciding to change your own opinion" which is what my friends believe is the only real thing that is possible, short of hardcore brainwashing. Am I being to harsh on them by being so literal to ask these questions of what makes a person who they are and the decisions they make in their everyday lives?

If you cannot truly "change someones mind" or change their opinion, why then do corporate interests shove all this advertising down our throats and change it every couple of weeks to keep it "fresh"? Why are their banner ads all over the web flashing YOU ARE A WINNER!!!!!!!111. Is everyone just so stupid to believe they are or after seeing it so many times does a novice to the internet just say in their head "eh alright ill give it a shot maybe I've won something!".

Why do so many people seem to fervently deny that you can change someones mind when from my humble perspective its our very experiences of interacting with things that shapes our minds. Or are they right and we are just deciding in ours heads, even if its the same fast food or car commercial, ad or billboard, that yes WE the masses accept this normalcy of the world we live in the everything is the same and theres not many choices around so ill live with the status quo kind of mentality. You tell me, the last time someone gave you an opinion on something did that change your mind about that opinion? Or did you make your own decision based on that opinion as how to react? If you hadn't heard the opinion in the first place, how could you change your own mind without having that change of an opinion be put there?

The Matrix

Journal Journal: Just dust in the wind, or just electrons in the cosmic soup?

What is the nature of this reality? This organ filled love box we exist in? I think that I am alive but I wonder do the dead think they are dead? Do they think? Do they come back? Should we just all accept that fate? Is it wrong to ask for unbelievable life sustaining, extending or if nessicary reviving techniques? What about the people who first decided when they kicked the bucket, that they would be cryogenically frozen and saved until technology was ready enough to "bring them back" or cure their disease AND bring them back themselves I bet they were considered out of their minds by the majority and still are but i think its become... slightly more acceptable. Does my brain and it alone contain all the memory's of who I am? If my brain has ice crystals in it during the revival process will I actually be the same person? What about aliens? People used to see demons then witch's and now aliens. Is this just a cultural thing of seeing unexplainable things? What about that UFO report the French just released with 25% of sightings being unexplainable? People more then ever seem to see them, joke about them and produce them on Television and in theaters then ever before! Is it wrong of me to waste my time and look to the sky for a UFO when my friend thinks "there he goes again!". I know this is more a journal then a question answer but I'm feeling irked at the moment and would rather bitch. I will make a more coherent Journal post later.
