Datacenters have MONEY, they would be fine if you put in a - only if consumers benefit in lower energy bills - buy lowering energy costs, not raising them - our whatever system means people pay less then they do today - from day 1, not day X. They should just make sure that - they don't use too much of the water (normal business amount) that does not affect people in a meaninful way - there are many ways to do this. As well as - make sure that Energy will not go up for anyone if installed - so enough cheap - RENEWABLE energy is created to power it (it is faster to build renewables than to build the dataceters, so very easy). This way we don't say a blanket NO, but a resonalbe sure, if you meet these easy to do things.

Can confirm that age watches that. The bigger reason is basic af - it's FREE vs paid. And that age group has no extra money for anything. Want people to do other things? - give them the money and time to be free enough to do it.

Today sure, but China is on track to make more solar per year - than the whole of the USA needs by 2030. This is not a small thing - this is huge. As in China could go fully green - next decade AND have mutiple times more power than any other country. You know, the soon to be biggest issue for AI growth or in many heavy industries....
