Journal: Journal? Journal? We don't need no Stinkin Journal!!

*First!* (my first ever slashdot journal post ;)

So... I was reading a slashdot article today about people who are upset at slashdot and want their accounts removed from the community for good.

Hell, I thought I might start looking into getting more into the community then. I've read slashdot for about 7 years, and so far I've only posted 4 times (including today's post). All my posts have been cynical and, possibly, a little rude.

So, this might actually give me some bad karma on slashdot... Well, no it hasn't... I don't really care, its not like a lot of people will ever even read *THIS* journal post I'm writing now.

Since I'm a geek, I work in IT and I'm old enough to have background knowledge on the common internet memes, I don't tend to post "OMG look this cute new meme!" kind of crap, which will definitely not give me any plus points.

I may try to be informative about something... But even that can come out wrong sometimes.

Hey, you know... people shouldn't take stuff so seriously here. Its too easy to flame and hide... Call me a troll if you want, but the rude stuff I've heard and said on the net, which wasn't even that bad, would likely never be voiced face-to-face. Sometimes I would have really punched people in the face for shit they said or did... Want that device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet? Go play Eve Online, you can find me there...

I think flamebaiting is the worst of all... But you know how it goes... DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. And ignore the noobs who do. They'll eventually either get with the program, or GTFO.
