Get rid of the articles from ITWorld / Infoworld / Networkworld. They are weak, watered down, dull, and suitable only to PHB's, not to the techies who made Slashdot what it is (or was). I really don't understand the surge of articles from these sources in recent months. If Slashdot is receiving compensation in return for posting these stories, you really should disclose that fact.
Also, Unicode. Seriously. It's 2012 and Unicode support is long overdue.

No longer satisfied with your crinkled doctor's note, a growing number of corporations are hiring "Hooky Detectives." Private investigator Rick Raymond says he's staked out bowling alleys, pro football games, weddings and even funerals looking for people using sick days. From the article: "Such techniques have become permissible at a time when workers are more likely to play hooky. Kronos, a workforce productivity firm in Chelmsford, Mass., recently found that 57 percent of salaried employees take sick days when they're not sick — almost a 20 percent increase from statistics gathered between 2006 and 2008."
Modern Warfare 2 Not Recalled In Russia After All 94

Activision never released a console version of the game in Russia."
Instead, they simply edited the notorious scene out of the PC version. They did this of their own volition, since Russia doesn't have a formal ratings committee.
