Go back a few hundred years and it was Christianity that terrorised the world. Do you think Africans wanted to be taken to America and christened? Do you think the Yucatan population wanted the Maya codices burnt? Christianity has been forced on millions of people in 3rd world countries. And don't get me started on witch hunts.

I don't know this "miles" of which you speak, but my Renault Scenic E-tech has a range of about 550 km at best, much less when it's cold. In theory it would take me from one end of Denmark to the other. I can't imagine anything less would suit the average American.

And yet StackOverflow has survived where other sites have died because of duplicate questions, badly phrased questions, off-topic questions and questions without context. Stackoverflow worked because it put limitations on those things. I love Stackoverflow! (Enter viking chorus chanting "stackoverflow, stackoverflow, wonderful stackoverflow"...).

After 40 years in IT, I have yet to meet anyone who codes X86 assembler. We must live in different worlds.
