All that is needed is for some public minded individual with a bit of tech savvy, to hack into the " Piracy Shield, an unsupervised electronic portal" that the "unidentified set of Italian media companies can submit websites and IP addresses". Then they can publish their method, and then submit all the websites of the Italian government and their agencies. We'll soon see how the government likes what is sure to happen to innocent Italian companies.

Does this mean that if AI generated work " untouched by human hands " can't be copyrighted, than an AI generated work, similarly untouched can't infringe on a copyrighted work ?

Simple solution. Simplify the tax code. Pretty soon the IRS is overstaffed again, their old systems are more than enough to handle the reduced load, and tax payers are happy too :-)

If airlines can eliminate the top 10% of their passengers, they won't see any savings in fuel. That's because they'll just make the seats 10% smaller and then cram in 10% more paying passengers. That may increase their overall profit as those extra paying passengers will more than offset the cost of the extra fuel. Eventually only midgets and children will be able to afford to fly. I can see him trademarking a scene from a personal video he had made of himself, but if he trademarked a scene from a movie, wouldn't the movie studio have a preceding claim ? Couldn't they sue him for copyright violation if he essentially copied a scene from their movie to trademark ? If the studio allowed a third party to use a scene from their movie that he was in would that trump his trademark ? Sounds messy. Lawyers will probably be the only winners.

The old local power plants cost more to run than buying electricity from the grid. However with Bezos' version of time share, you'll still need to pay for the network, and you'll still need to buy or rent a local terminal / Chromebook / Cloud P/C. That local device won't need powerful hardware, but it will need some. So the costs are almost the same, especially if you factor in a monthly 365-like subscription. Sounds like a perfect use for all those old P/Cs that aren't allowed to run Windows anymore ( or those Win7 boxes in the closet ). Put Linux and something like Libreoffice on them and they're more than enough to serve almost any business requirement. And even if you are forced to use some cloud software, they'll do as a Cloud P/C for no additional cost. Instead of a requirement for a whole new generation of business appliances, Bezos' vision could recycle generations of existing hardware,
